Based on the ever-fleeting “golden hour,” Dorada is a beachside apartment complex in Chicxulub, Mexico, with its emerald green and blue waters and golden sand. We were approached by the developers of the complex to fashion a name, concept and unique identity for this project, and we aimed to create a brand that felt familial, serene and with its feet firmly in the sand.

By creating the central pillars of the brand of community and nature, we designed a simple graphic language, reminiscent of how as children we would draw with our fingers on the sand. Our intent was to capture a feeling of timelessness, to show forever in a moment. This is what living besides the ocean can do to you: make you live outside of time, simply living with each push and pull of the waves, the sun ever shining.
